How to read this

Every item that at least one measured Pokémon holds on the Regulation M-B VGC ladder, ordered by how much of the format brings it. Pokémon is how many distinct species hold it. Per team is the expected number of the six team slots that bring it, summed across the 282 Pokémon with enough games to measure — so a figure above 1 means the average team runs more than one copy, which is exactly what happens with Protect.

A item that no one brings is not on this list. That is deliberate: a generic item entry is a solved problem, and what is not solved anywhere is which items the current regulation actually runs and on what.
