How to read this

Every ability that at least one measured Pokémon runs on the Regulation M-B VGC ladder, ordered by how much of the format brings it. Pokémon is how many distinct species run it. Per team is the expected number of the six team slots that bring it, summed across the 282 Pokémon with enough games to measure — so a figure above 1 means the average team runs more than one copy, which is exactly what happens with Protect.

A ability that no one brings is not on this list. That is deliberate: a generic ability entry is a solved problem, and what is not solved anywhere is which abilities the current regulation actually runs and on what.
