What gets written here

Four kinds of piece, and nothing else. A comparison of the tools in this category, including the ones that beat pkmnlab at something, because a page that will not name a rival is not worth reading. A meta report rebuilt from Smogon's published ladder statistics whenever a new month of data lands. The regulation calendar, because Regulation M-B closes on 9 September 2026 and everything format-specific on this site expires with it. And an occasional note about how a number here was computed, when the honest answer is longer than a caption.

Everything that can be generated is generated. A post that quotes usage figures is rebuilt from the data files on every build rather than typed once and left to rot, and each one prints the date it was measured and the sample it came from at the top. Where a figure is computed rather than measured, it says so on its face — Smogon publishes no checks-and-counters data for doubles formats, so anything calling itself a counter here is arithmetic, not a record of play.
