Until the end of the turn, all single-target attacks from the opposing side are redirected to the user. Such attacks are redirected to the user before they can be reflected by Magic Coat or the Magic Bounce Ability, or drawn in by the Lightning Rod or Storm Drain Abilities. Fails if it is not a Double Battle or Battle Royal. This effect is ignored while the user is under the effect of Sky Drop.
5 of the 282 Pokémon measured on the Regulation M-B ladder carry Rage Powder. The one that matters most is Sinistcha, which is on 26.1% of teams and carrys it on 97.7% of its sets. The full list is above, ordered by how much of the format each one is.
As a Bug move it is super effective against Dark, Grass and Psychic, resisted by Fairy, Fighting, Fire, Flying, Ghost, Poison and Steel. 1 other Bug move appears in this format: U-turn.
5 Pokémon legal in this regulation can learn Rage Powder at all, against the 5 that actually bring it. The gap is the interesting number: it is the set of Pokémon that have the option and decline it. Every measured Pokémon that can learn it does run it, which is rare and says the move is close to mandatory on anything with access.
Across the ladder, Rage Powder accounts for an expected 0.32 of the six slots on an average team, which makes it the 16th most-brought of the 126 moves this format runs. 79% of that comes from Sinistcha alone, so it is really one Pokémon’s move rather than the format’s. Its carriers are mostly Bug (3), Grass (2) and Fire (2).
Usage is Smogon's published statistics for the Regulation M-B VGC ladder, and the description is the one shipped in the Pokémon Showdown data set. Both are regenerated on every build rather than written by hand, so this page follows the format instead of trailing it. Take any of it to the team builder or the damage calculator.
