Venusaur, number 3 in the National Dex and a Kanto Pokémon,
holds Venusaurite to become Mega Venusaur,
taking its total from 525 to 625. The biggest single gain is 40 Defense, followed by 22 Sp. Atk. Nothing goes down — HP and Speed stay exactly where they were.
The typing does not change — it is Grass and Poison before and after — so the Mega is the same defensive problem as the base form, only bigger. Mega Evolving replaces Overgrow and Chlorophyll with Thick Fat.
What gets through
As Grass and Poison, 4 of the eighteen attacking types get through for extra damage. It resists 5. The full board is above; the short version is that the
